Neil McDougall brought the property in 1914. He and his wife Hazel had no children, so decided to sell the land to the City of
South Perth for all residents to enjoy as public open space in 1951. After Neil’s death in 1964, the council fenced off 1.5 acres for his wife’s use. Near the house are some farm buildings, a dairy, and two stables, which remain from the early days of the farm; some of the original fittings remain in these outbuildings.
Her wish was that the house be used as an Art and Craft Centre for the community and it reopened as Hazel McDougall house in 1982.
Located 20 Clydesdale Street, Como
Open: Various times due to exhibitions.
