Perth Zoo is a world class zoo, offering quality exhibits in beautiful natural settings.  Established in 1898, Perth Zoo is a memorable landmark located in South Perth only 5 minutes from the CBD.

Living in larger naturalistic exhibits full of tress and mounds allows the animals to interact with visitors or each other. This helps assure their physical, psychological and social well being. It also means that you may need to wait, watch and listen a little longer to spot some animals just as though you were in the wild.

You can take a journey through the Australian Bushwalk to discover Kangaroos, Koalas, Short-beaked Echidnas and Numbats while learning about the fragile environment they call home.

Or head on an African Safari adventure and spot the Southern White Rhinoceros, Cheetah, Rothschild’s
Giraffe and the Slender-tailed Meerkats to discover how these animals rely on each other for food and survival.

Take a trek across the Asian Rainforest to experience the amazing diversity of animals including the Asian Elephant, Sun Bear, Sumatran Orang-utan and the Silvery Gibbon.

The café located next to the Carousel offers a wide range of food choices and there a number of food and beverage vending outlets through out the Zoo. The Zoo offers a number of shaded lawn areas for picnic lunches, with a children’s play ground to keep the kids busy.
