Links with the past and the ongoing culture have been presevered and promoted for everyone to enjoy at a number of historical sites spread throughout South Perth , including our very own Pagoda Ballroom.

South Perth celebrates their history and understands its importance in creating the city’s heritage. The community still displays its heritage for everyone to appreciate.

Step back in time and visit the Heritage House Cultural Centre, built in 1904 as Council Offices. Today this building displays the May and Herbert Gibbs Art Collection. The Mends Street Jetty (1894) and Coode Street Jetty (1896) are also popular historical sites. Visit the Old Mill, Zoological Gardens, Post Office or, take a stroll along one of two Heritage Trails in South Perth .


Heritage House Cultural Centre
A collection about South Perth and its heritage: books, reports, photos, Oral Histories, maps etc; also houses a small art gallery for exhibitions.

The towering glass spire of the Swan Bells Belltower, is located on Barrack Street jetty, Perth.
